Work is fine. I'm currently involved in helping the orientation for the first year university students. Most of the students I'm working with are Malaysians. Very young ; ) they are starting university next week.9 g9 r: F; t! a8 O" s

They are many international students studying in Singapore. I have get to know 1st year students from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka in addition to those from Vietnam and Malaysia. I also met 2 students from Qinghua Da Xue on exchange program. they will be here for a semester. One is doing English Literature. Can't remember which course the second gal is doing.

4 E" X' k- }# H" iThursday was Singapore 42th birthday.. Q S' a* T; X- ]8 x( ^
I went to Qiyuan’s house together with 7 other friends to watch the National Day Parade.
: _+ P7 U1 Z% b- p7 x6 of the friends were going to 1st year University. 3 of them were from Vietnam and 3 from Malaysia. We only have a day of public holiday unlike PRCs who have 2 weeks off.+ h% f8 t7 g/ e. w, Q( _9 V
1 n0 x. \4 f% \7 k: L# S) G* }I really love my country and wish Singapore will be strong politically and economically. In addition, I pray that Singaporeans will be loyal to our motherland and care for one another. * o8 j) z8 W) d, J( A1 i9 `
U0 Q7 Q* D; @: V2 T' R; z! u) S, g# V. c/ f' X9 J4 d
I love the 'Su shi Yue Bing (mooncakes)' that I bought in Shanghai. They are Yummy! # E8 r' B# n' q7 s- E$ o0 ?1 b
9 O+ k$ _. e* K, H @7 _% cI went to Cheng Huan Miao on on the morning before I flew off and tried the 'Tang bao'. Thought there 's meat inside! But there's only soup and the 'bao'... felt a bit cheated paying 10 RMB for only the soup. Tried the Nanxiang Xiao Long bao. they are good but i still prefer the fried buns( what are they called again?) that we tried after the karoke session.
